Make the most of the North Coast
Enjoy the stunning
It’s not a stretch to say that the breath-taking coastline of North Devon and North Cornwall is among the most beautiful in the country. From the welcoming sandy beaches loved by families to the dramatic views of the South West Coast Path, there’s truly something for everyone.
Enjoy the very best North coast beaches
There’s a beach for every sort of day out on the north coast. Whether you want a relaxing day out with the kids paddling in the sea and building sandcastles, to try your hand at surfing and paddle boarding or to explore hidden coves and quietly walk your dog along blissfully empty sands, you’ll find a perfect beach for you during your stay.
Explore the coastal
path on foot
England’s longest waymarked footpath and national trail, the South West Coast Path, is just a short trip from us here at Stone Barn. Each stretch offers spectacular views. The coast path takes in quaint fishing villages like Clovelly, remote headlands like Hartland Point and the best of our beautiful beaches. The difficulty of each section of the path is different, so there’s something to enjoy for the most casual walkers and the most hardened and dedicated ramblers.
Enjoy cycle routes that take you to the coast
Both Devon and Cornwall are great places to explore on two wheels, giving you an up-close look at the area’s wildlife, history and beautiful landscape. In North Devon, the Tarka Trail is a 180-mile figure of eight trail running through unspoilt countryside and along dramatic cliffs to golden beaches. The best known of Cornwall’s cycle trails is The Camel Trail, a flat 18 mile path along a former railway line from Wenfordbridge to Padstow.
